Fatal Car Crash Near Kirksville

Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Adair County Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a car crash Sunday that resulted in a fatality.

Charles V. Pratte 63 of Kirksville was travelling south on MO-157 three miles west of Kirksville when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road, crossed a gravel roadway, and struck a road sign and then a tree before coming to rest. Pratte was transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Pratte was not wearing a safety device.
