Fasten Your Seat Belts in NE Missouri

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say a Click It or Ticket enforcement operation is planned later this month in Marion County.

Sergeant Brent Bernhardt of the Highway Patrol says the operation is part of a national campaign focused on seat belt violations in an effort to raise seat belt use and awareness. During a seat belt survey in 2015, Missouri’s usage rate was found to be 79 percent. Missouri law requires drivers and front seat occupants and all vehicle occupants under 16 years old to use seat belts or a child restraint seat if appropriate.
