Fall Creek Overlook & Rest Area to Reopen Friday

What was once a popular rest stop near the I-172 and Highway 57 interchange reopens Friday.

The Fall Creek Rest Area had been closed for over a decade due to state budget cuts. Work has been underway since March to clean up the area, making repairs to gates, bringing in picnic tables, mowing and clearing brush.

The Fall Creek Overlook and Rest Area first opened in 1984.  The area is officially a satellite site of Siloam Springs State Park.
