Expansion of Move Over Law on Nixon’s Desk

(JEFFERSON CITY)--Legislation passed last week to expand Missouris move over law is in the process of study by Governor Jay Nixon. The law would include stopped
Transportation Department vehicles with flashing amber or white lights, to improve worker safety. The states existing law only requires drivers to move over for emergency vehicles. MoDOT officials say crash cushions mounted on work trucks have been struck six times this spring.
