The following is a closed-circuit message for all dogs...There’s plenty to bark about in Hannibal today!  Grab your leash, and that significant human in your life, and head out to not one, but two pet-friendly fundraising events:

The Paws for a Cause pet walk begins at 9 am today at Hannibal Regional,   Cost is $20 per person and $10 per dog.  100 percent of proceeds go to the James E. Cary Cancer Center and Hannibal Regional Infusion Center.  Participants receive a t-shirt and canines receive a collapsible water dish. Dogs also get a professional Buddy Photo with your human.   The walk starts in the hospital parking lot and courses through the Healthy Way Fitness Trail.

Meanwhile, Central Park in Hannibal is the place to be for the Northeast Missouri Humane Society’s annual fundraiser.  The event runs from 9:30 to noon today.   The Ralls County K-9 Unit will put on demonstrations.  The Quincy Kennel Club’s Dancing Dogs will perform, and the Hannibal Fire department Fire Pup will meet and greet attendees.  Vendor booths will feature pet crafts, paw print jewelry, pet treats, and more fun than you can shake a tail at!
