Entries Sought for Billboard Art Competition

Entries are now being accepted for the 2^nd Annual ART IN THE OPEN Billboard Art Competition to promote the arts and artists in the Hannibal area. The Top 5 winners in the contest will have their images featured on a series of billboards. The contest is being coordinated by the Hannibal Arts Council in partnership with Lamar Outdoor Advertising and Independent’s Service Company.

The contest is open to professional and non-professional artists 18 years of age or older who live within a 50-mile radius of Hannibal. The goal of the project is to capture the creative spirit all art forms represented in Northeast Missouri and Western Illinois. Area artists, artisans, craftsmen, photographers, writers, actors, dancers and performers are encouraged to review the guidelines to learn how to participate.

The deadline to enter is July 1, 2015.  Contest Guidelines and instructions on How to Enter are available at the Hannibal Arts Council or by clicking on the ART IN THE OPEN icon on the homepage of hannibalarts.com. There is a $20 entry fee for up to two submissions or $30 for up to three submissions.
