A Hannibal man is bound over for trial on charges in connection with a shooting incident last March.

At a preliminary hearing Monday in Marion County Circuit Court, Judge John Jackson ruled that 19 year old Carl Emerson, Jr. would stand trial on three counts of first degree assault and armed criminal action.

Emerson is alleged to have been involved in an altercation at a residence on Fulton Avenue last March 28th. Emerson is alleged to have shot and wounded 18 year old Angelica Cadwell, 19 year old Phillip Egbert and 17 year old Benjamin Gillum.

Emerson’s arraignment is set for June 6th.

Emerson remains lodged in the Marion County Jail on $300,000 cash only bond.
