The Hannibal Hoots are hotter than a firecracker in July! The Hoots picked up their 8th straight win Friday as they polished off the Gems in QU Stadium.  The final was Hannibal 5, Quincy 3.  The Hoots banged out a total of 11 hits; 5 hits in the 3rd Inning produced 4 runs.  The Gems big blow occurred in the 5th inning, when Corey Young hit a monstrous 3-run homer..

Dylan Dodd was the winning pitcher for the Hoots.  He went 7 innings, allowed 6 hits, and had no walks. Jonny Steiner picked up the save.

The Gems travel to Hannibal on the 4th for a double header with the Hoots in historic Clemens Field.  Game 1 begins at 3:05 p.m.
