CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin doesn't believe questions raised by a congressional report about the long-running FutureGen project should create doubts about its future. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the report by the Congressional Research Service. The report says project delays raise doubts about whether FutureGen will be able to demonstrate its clean-coal technology when $1 billion in funding expires in 2015. The report also questions whether the power industry has incentive to use the technology.
