Two Quincy residents pleaded not guilty Wednesday to drug trafficking charges in Adams County Circuit Court.

26 year old Kevin Dromey and 21 year old Emily Goodwin were arraigned Wednesday for unlawful calculated criminal cannabis and conspiracy to commit cannabis trafficking. They are alleged to have brought large quantities of cannabis to Quincy and northeast Missouri from Colorado.

The two were arrested last September 27th after a search of two homes in Quincy resulted in the seizure of nearly two pounds of cannabis, several firearms, drug paraphernalia, two vehicles and $117,000 in cash.

The next court date for the two will be in January.

A third person in the case, 33 year old Karen Dromey of Quincy, pleaded guilty last week in Marion County to charges of distribution of hydrocodone and marijuana. She also faces drug trafficking charges in Adams County.
