(HANNIBAL)—Hannibal LaGrange University President Dr. Woodrow Burt is retiring in August. Dr. Burt has been at Hannibal LaGrange since the 1976-77 school year—starting as a speech instructor and director of admissions. He became dean of students a year later and-- with the exception of three years in the late 1980s—he’s been at the school since Executive Vice President… Academic Dean… Registrar… Vice President for Institutional Advancement and eventually President. Dr. Burt is proud of their relationship with the Hannibal community…

The university held a reception for Dr. Burt Thursday afternoon. He’ll be the commencement speaker in a few weeks before leaving the school in mid August.
