Understand, I am generally a "glass half full" kinda guy. Plus, I'm a Cardinal fan. Have been since 1964. Since the Cardinals lost to the Cubs last night, I thought this would be a good time to rail about a pet peeve of mine -- the Whiney Cardinal Fan.

There are folks I know, and there are probably folks in your life, too, who are very much Cardinal fans, but every time they lose a couple of games, they start to whine -- What was the manager thinking, why couldn't that pitcher find the strike zone, why couldn't that hitter at least put the ball in play, they should fire and/or trade everybody, for instance.

I've always had a lot of respect for Cub fans (bless their hearts). You will find very few, if any, whiney Cub fans. For an average Cub fan, it's a beautiful day for a game, and even if we didn't get 'em today, we'll get 'em tomorrow.

The one time I found myself starting to whine was last August, when it looked like the Cardinals were going nowhere, and you what happened after that.

So, if you want to whine about the Cardinals, kindly take it somewhere else.
