The Annual Veteran's Day Parade in Quincy will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 10am on Maine Street.  This year's committee is working hard to put the parade together and one of their objectives is to secure a flyover during the parade.  The parade committee has the opportunity to get a flyover of a B-25 Bomber.

For those who may remember, this is the type of aircraft that Jimmy Doolittle and his Raiders used for the first bombing of Tokyo in 1942.  To secure this aircraft for the parade it will cost the committee nearly $2000. They already have $1000 but need your help in raising the rest needed. With that in mind, donations are being accepted by the committee.

Anyone wishing to donate can do so by sending a check to:  The Veteran's Parade Committee, 801 Pawn Avenue, Quincy, Illinois 62305.  If you have any questions you can call 228-9759.  This is a once in a lifetime chance to really thank our World War Two Veterans for their service.

Your donations would be greatly appreciated.
