The Dodgers Joc Peterson led off the seventh inning with a home run and Justin Turner added a two-run triple to lead the Dodgers to a 4-3 win over Washington in the fifth and deciding game of the NLDS.

Peterson connected off of Max Scherzer who had scattered four hits up to that point. Turner capped the four-run rally off of Shawn Kelly, the Nationals fifth pitcher of the inning.

The Dodgers go on to face the Cubs in the National League Championship Series starting Saturday in Chicago.

Washington rallied in the bottom of the seven on Chris Heisey's two-run pinch-hit homer. The National loaded the bases after that, but Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen ended the threat by striking out Anthony Rendon.

Jansen walked two in the ninth inning before giving way to Game 4 starter Clayton Kershaw who got Daniel Murphy to pop out and Wilmer Difo to strike out to end the game.

Kershaw had two wins and a save in the series.
