Derek McKenzie Murder Case Continued

The case of a Quincy man accused in a 2015 beating death was continued Tuesday in Adams County Circuit Court.

At a hearing Tuesday, the first degree murder case of 30 year old Derek McKenzie was continued until May 2nd.

McKenzie is alleged to have beaten 48 year old Billy Graham with his fists and a metal clamp in an apartment about the former Izzey’s Bar and Grill on December 7th, 2015.

The case has been hold since November, when McKenzie’s defense team asked that his medical records be reviewed.

McKenzie is in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
