Deer in Roadway Blamed for One-Car Rollover Accident

(Hunnewell, Mo)—A Monroe City driver swerves to miss a deer and suffers moderate injuries after her car rolls at 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

Missouri Troopers report 51 year-old Connie McCune was travelling northbound on Marion County Route K, 3 miles north of Hunnewell.  McCune swerved after encountering deer in the roadway.  Her car traveled off the road, struck a fence and overturned.

McCune was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance.
