Deer Comes Through the Windshield on US 54

A St. Charles man is recovering from moderate injuries after a deer came through his windshield Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Alan Borders was eastbound on US 54 east of Cow Pasture Road at 2:29 Wednesday afternoon when he hit the deer with his minivan. Troopers say Borders was taken by ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana for treatment.
