Deer Collision Closes Lewis County Route B
A series of traffic crashes that started with a pickup truck hitting a deer late Tuesday afternoon injures three.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says a pickup truck was stopped on the wrong side of the road after hitting a deer on Lewis County Route B a mile south of LaGrange at 5:36 p-m when a car driven by 67 year old Dean Meyersick of Augusta hit the pickup head on before also hitting a car driven by 18 year old Jackson Dolbeare of Quincy head on. Meyersick and Dolbeare were taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
A few minutes later.. a second collision just south of the earlier crash occurred as a vehicle driven by 58 year old Rose Wesley attempted a U turn and collided with a vehicle driven by 66 year old Roger Franzen of Quincy. Troopers say Franzen was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of minor injuries.
Lewis County Route B was closed in the area until 8 p-m.
