Volunteers are busy today with projects at six partner agencies of the United Way of The Mark Twain Area.
Executive Director Frank DeTillo says several people are helping at AVENUES with laying laminate flooring, work on cabinets and with cleaning and organizing. Another crew is working on bushes, cleaning the parking lot and painting an office at Douglass Community Services. Three volunteers are at FACT helping to organize, clean and prepare for a garage sale. Crews are also helping spruce up around Learning Opportunities and assisting with meals at the Monroe City and Palmyra Nutrition Centers.
