A Hannibal man involved in a car chase through downtown Hannibal three weeks ago was in court Friday.

24-year-old DaMark Rudd is charged with assault, resisting arrest and property damage.

Rudd is alleged to have hit two vehicles, one of them a police car, and nearly striking an officer during the pursuit. During the incident, Rudd’s 23-year-old male passenger suffered a gunshot wound from a shot fired by an HPD officer.

A bond reduction by Rudd’s attorney was denied.

Judge John Jackson continued the case until February 20.
