Culver Stockton College’s dining area and faculty development services will benefit from a couple of recently received gifts.

School officials Thursday announced that a total of about $3-million dollars in gifts have come to the college in recent weeks.

About half of that total comes from the estate of 1940 Culver alum Mary Eck, who died in 2016 at age 97.

Along with dining hall renovation, Eck’s gift will go to support students traveling as part of their coursework.

The rest of the gift comes from an anonymous donor, with that money going to faculty development and student scholarships.

This announcement comes on the heels of the introduction of the “Culver-Stockton: Changing Lives!” campaign, with a fund raising goal of $25-million dollars, of which $18-million has already been raised or pledged.
