The 2014 nighttime entertainment at Tanyard Gardens kicked off with an enormous turnout for the Josh Thompson concert. Thompson, a Show Dog-Universal recording artist whose hits include 'Cold Beer With Your Name On It,' 'Won't Be Lonely Long,' and 'Comin' Around,' headlined the concert to kick off National Tom Sawyer Days. Madd Hoss Jackson opened.

KICK-FM's Brian Myles had a chance to visit with Thompson before the concert. He told the station that even though his most recent album was just released late last year, he's already looking ahead to his next project:

I think, you know, I've always got a mind on what the next record's going to be, and saving songs for that, so we're definitely geared up for that."

We'd like to commend Golden Eagle Distributing, Mark Twain Distributing, and the Hannibal Jaycees for all of their hard work and effort in bringing such a top-notch concert to National Tom Sawyer Days.
