‘Courageous’ Film Producer Coming to Hannibal

Saturday evening, I had the opportunity to view the movie 'Courageous' at HLGU’s Parker Theatre in the Roland Fine Arts Center.

Lauren Youse, HLGU Alumni Director, says actor and producer Alex Kendrick is known for quality family-friendly movies and will be the featured speaker at the HLGU Booster Banquet November 16th.

'Courageous', the 4th movie produced by Kendrick, incorporates suspense, drama, and humor as it delves into the personal and professional lives of four sheriff’s deputies in the South. Lauren Youse says there are more opportunities for the public to view this inspirational film espousing family values, at no charge.

It will be showing two more times at HLGU's Parker Theatre: 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, and 7 p.m.Saturday, November 10th.

For those who prefer an outdoor setting, the Hannibal Evangelical Free Church on North Levering Street plans to show the movie at 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 28th. Either way, it's a "must see."
