Missouri’s Show Me Games are coming up soon.

A torch run starting from Hannibal’s Central Park opens the countdown to the annual event. David Fox is the Executive Director of the Shelter Insurance Show Me Games.  He says 33 states have Olympic style games like this but that Missouri has the largest participation with over 30-thousand people involved in recent years. The Show Me Games began in 1985 with just 600 participants. Fox says almost 1300 participants last year were from northeast Missouri. Sponsors including Shelter Insurance help make the games and the kickoff torch run possible.

Registration is open on line at Event finals are coming up in late June and Early July. Many events are in Columbia. Some are held at other locations.
