(MACON)—Missouri Highway Patrol troopers plan commercial motor vehicle enforcement operations in Marion County over the next three months. The patrol says the extra enforcement is funded by the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program and will focus on traffic violations committed by drivers of commercial vehicles that contribute to traffic crashes. Troopers will also be looking for unsafe motor vehicle conditions. The goal is to reduce the number of commercial vehicle related traffic crashes.
