Clark Pleads Guilty to Burglary and Theft in Adams County

A Quincy man pleads guilty to Adams County burglary and theft charges following a theft incident last August. Matthew Clark entered the plea Tuesday to one count of burglary and one count of theft. Three other charges were dropped.

Clark recently pled guilty in Pike County Illinois court to arson and theft in connection with the theft of a box truck and the burning of a barn.

He also previously admitted to accidentally starting the fire that destroyed the Newcomb Hotel building in Quincy in 2013.
