A Clarence man is in the Shelby County Jail as the result of an incident Saturday afternoon.

Shelbina Police responded to a report of harassment of multiple subjects in the Shelbina area around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

An investigation led police to the home of 46 year old Jeffery Griswold in Clarence.

Griswold threatened officers with a hammer. Officers deployed a taser which was ineffective.

Griswold was eventually taken into custody and charged with harassment, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and armed criminal action.
