A Chicago Public Schools employee is being held in lieu of $1 million bond on child pornography charges.

Eric Shank Van Eenige is an administrative employee at Ariel Community Academy. Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Jennifer Cooper on Thursday accused Van Eenige of sending pornography to a member of the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Cooper says investigators later executed a search warrant at Van Eenige's house, where they found a laptop with the illegal material

Judge Adam Bourgeois ordered the 39-year-old Van Eenige to not have contact with minors, not go within a hundred of any Chicago public school, nor surf the Internet while awaiting trial.

Bourgeois also rejected assistant public defender Sandra Bennewitz's argument that Van Eenige should be allowed near his 4-year-old daughter.
