Three felony charges are filed against a Hannibal man following an incident earlier this week at a Hannibal business.
Marion County Prosecutor David Clayton says 38 year old Jason Cunningham faces Class E felony charges after he allegedly assaulted a co worker and attempted to throw her into a nearby creek bed. Clayton says Cunningham has a very serious criminal history from other areas and has had numerous contacts with local law enforcement in the recent past. Clayton indicate previous attempts to convict Cunningham were unsuccessful due to witness problems. Hannibal Police and the prosecutor’s office say they will do all they can to see that those challenges do not arise in this case. Cunningham is held in the Marion County Jail on 50-thousand dollars cash only bond.
