Champ Clark Bridge at Louisiana Closing for Inspection This Week

As weather conditions permit this week,  MODOT plans an annual in depth inspection of the Champ Clark Bridge at Louisiana.
Area Engineer Brian Haeffner says bridge crews out of Jefferson City will bring two snooper trucks to help inspect the lower portion of the bridge. Safety concerns and continued deterioration requires closure of the bridge during the inspection according to Haeffner. Inspection results could determine that immediate repairs and an additional closing is necessary.

Work on a new bridge for US 54 at Louisiana will start within a few months.
