Challenge Grant for Twin Pike Aquatic Center

(LOUISIANA)—A 500-thousand dollar challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation moves the Twin Pike Family YMCA a step closer to construction of a new aquatic center.

The Twin Pike Y needs to raise 1.2 million dollars in donations or pledges over the next year to get the grant and another half million dollars for the campaign.  Collections and pledges since the fundraising campaign started in November 2009 total over 300-thousand dollars.

The aquatic center would be built onto the Twin Pike Y at 614 Kelly Lane in Louisiana. The Y plans to have all the money in hand before construction starts.
