A Quincy man gets over two decades of state prison time for his role in a home invasion last year.

23-year-old Chadwick Kelly pleaded guilty to one count of home invasion and was sentenced Wednesday to 23 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Kelly and 18-year-old James Phillips, also of Quincy, are alleged to have entered a home at 900 Locust July 21, threatened one of the residents with a gun and took a number of items from the home.

A manhunt for the two following the incident took law enforcement onto the grounds of the Illinois Veterans Home.

Phillips pleaded guilty to a residential burglary charge in October and has a sentencing hearing set for January 26.
