Carter Receives 15 Year Sentence for Murder

(Quincy) – A Quincy man who pleaded guilty to second degree murder was sentenced Friday.

Vince Carter will spend 15 years in prison for the shooting death a year ago of Terry Williams.

Carter admitted to killing Williams with a handgun after an altercation in an apartment near 11^th and Jersey in Quincy. Carter initially fled the scene and was arrested the next day.

Carter will not be eligible for parole.
