SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Lance Lynn pitched neatly into the eighth inning before leaving with ankle injury, beating San Francisco as the NL Central-leading St. Louis Cardinals shut out the Giants 6-0 Saturday. Lynn awkwardly came off the mound to field Juan Perez's leadoff chopper in the eighth and twisted his right ankle trying to throw to first. That was Lynn's final batter, and he exited with a mild ankle sprain that will be reevaluated Sunday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Andre Ethier singled in a pair of go-ahead runs in the seventh inning, helping the Los Angeles Dodgers rally past the Chicago Cubs 5-2 Saturday night for their fifth consecutive victory. The NL West leaders have their third winning streak of five or more games since May. The Cubs dropped their fourth in a row.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Mike Moustakas had three hits and three RBIs, and the AL Central-leading Kansas City Royals beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-3 Saturday night. Kendrys Morales had an RBI single and Moustakas a run-scoring double off Jake Odorizzi as the Royals grabbed a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning.

CHICAGO (AP) - Kyle Seager hit a two-run home run during a three-run first inning and the Seattle Mariners withstood Chicago's late rally to beat the White Sox 7-6 Saturday night. White Sox starter Jeff Samardzija (suh-MAHR'-juh) got his career-worst sixth straight loss.

CINCINNATI (AP) - Andy Dalton sneaked in for a touchdown on Cincinnati's opening drive, then came out of the game as a precaution with a sore neck on Saturday night during a 21-10 preseason victory over the Chicago Bears.
