Canton Man Gets Life in Prison for Domestic Assault

A Canton man is sentenced to life in prison Friday on sexual assault charges.

29 year old Kyle Tate pleaded guilty to domestic assault and sodomy. As part of a plea agreement, Lewis County Circuit Judge Gary Dial sentenced Tate to life in prison on both counts.

Tate will have to serve at least 30 years of the sentence before he is eligible for parole.

Tate is alleged to have beaten and assaulted a woman and her daughter at an apartment in Canton last June.
