Canton Area Man Indicted on Sex Charges

A Canton man faces statutory sodomy charges from a 1997 incident.

Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies say 53 year old Henry Schwartz of Canton was indicted by a Lewis County Grand Jury last month. Also involved in a lengthy investigation were the Lewis County Juvenile office and Missouri Children’s Division. Deputies say Schwartz is alleged to have inappropriately touched a female juvenile in 1997 at a rural Canton residence. Schwartz is held on $50,000 dollars cash only bond.
