A Camp Point man faces charges following a shots fired call late Tuesday afternoon southwest of Camp Point.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies say they were told the subject was drinking and out of control and shooting a rifle at a car on private property. Deputies say that by the time they arrived someone had taken the rifle away from the suspect. 30 year old Corey Schwagmeyer was taken into custody without incident but while being transported… deputies say he kicked the door of the squad car causing substantial damage. Schwagmeyer is held on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm…. Criminal damage to state supported property and disorderly conduct. A court appearance is scheduled today.
