In 2013 I finally made my first visit to the "new" Busch Stadium...which opened in 2006. Better late than never? I had a great time, and it looks like I'm not the only one that enjoyed the ballpark. Stadium Journey Magazine, which covers stadiums and venues for pretty much every single sport imaginable, has published its list of best stadium experiences, and in the Top 3 for Major League Baseball is Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Stadium Journey doesn't really explain what criteria they took into account to compile these rankings, but in their official review of Busch Stadium, they call the ballpark "a wonderful venue" and note the impressiveness of the new Ballpark Village (that opened in 2014, so I can still call it new without quotation marks!). Busch Stadium, at Number 3, came in behind Number 2, PNC Park in Pittsburgh, and Number 1, Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.

It's also worth mentioning that the Chicago Cub, arch-rivals to the St. Louis Cardinals, also made the list. Wrigley Field ranked at Number 7. I agree. Wrigley should be on the list. I've been there a few times, and it's also a great place.

The Scottrade Center, home of the St. Louis Blues, also ranked in the Top 10 in the NHL category.

If you're a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, you don't want to miss the annual St. Louis Cardinals Caravan. That will start at noon on Monday, January 19 at the Mabee Sports Complex at Hannibal-LaGrange University. January 19 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so this will give your kids something fun to do on their day off from school! Players and former players will be on hand, and autographs will be available for the first 400 kids 15 and under. Get all the details on the St. Louis Cardinals Caravan here.
