A long time Hannibal manufacturer will close its doors by the end of the year.

Officials with Buckhorn Rubber Products announced in a press release Wednesday that production lines in Hannibal will be relocated to existing operations.

Plant Manager Todd Kendall said in a statement that the consolidation is part of Buckhorn’s parent company, Zhongding Sealing Parts’ effort to streamline its business operations.

The closing affects 119 jobs locally. Officials say some employees will have the chance to transfer to other positions, and all of those laid off will be offered severance packages.

Buckhorn Rubber in Hannibal produced air intake hoses, rubber latches and fibromounts.

Zhongding Sealing Parts U.S. headquarters are in Monroe, Michigan.
