Brokes Charged in Shooting of Monroe City Police Officer

Monroe County Prosecutor Tally Kendrick says Timothy Brokes now faces three felony charges in an officer involved shooting in Monroe City.

Brokes is charged with assault of a law enforcement officer… armed criminal action and hindering prosecution after he is alleged to have shot a Monroe City Police Officer in Monroe City January 13th. The officer is recovering from the gunshot wound. Brokes also a suspect in the shooting death of a woman in Hannibal and the shooting of a man in Marion County. He is held in the Marion County Jail. Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says charges in those cases could come next week.
