Brewers Even Series with Cardinals

Scooter Gennett drove in three runs and Mike Fiers pitched into the seventh inning to lead Milwaukee past St. Louis 6-2. That ends the Brewers' nine-game losing streak and trimming the Cardinals' lead in the NL Central to three games.

Fiers is 5-2. He gave up two runs and seven hits in 6 2-3 innings, improving to 5-1 in six starts since being called up from Triple-A Nashville on Aug. 9.
