Hannibal Board of Public Works crews will be working on replacing water mains on a Hannibal street in the coming weeks.

BPW announces that work will begin this week to replace existing water main and services on Marsh Avenue in about a two block area from McMaster’s Avenue to Overhill Street.

The project is expected to take several weeks to complete. Officials say that Marsh Avenue will be closed to through traffic during the day, and that every attempt will be made to keep driveways open for property owners.

BPW encourages the public to take an alternate route over the next few weeks.
