A mock intruder drill is planned Tuesday afternoon at school campuses in Bowling Green and Frankford.
The idea is to test the district’s emergency plan, gauge the response of personnel and find where improvements can be made.

Classes will dismissed at 12:30 and most students will not be around when the scenarios begin at one o’clock.

Superintendent Darin Powell said the drill will be as realistic as possible. Law enforcement from the Bowling Police Department and sheriff’s deputies from Pike and Ralls
counties will respond.

Once the drill is over, administrators will evaluate the results and make any changes needed to the district’s emergency plan.
