Bowen Woman Killed in Two-Car Crash North of Payson

A Bowen woman dies from injuries suffered in a two vehicle crash on Highway 96 north of Payson at 5:07 p.m. Sunday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports that 78 year old Gerhard Jung was eastbound on South 78th Street, did not stop at the intersection with Highway 96 and collided with a southbound pickup, driven by 23 year old Christopher Sherwood of Payson.

Gerhard Jung and his wife, 83 year old Audine Jung, were taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment. Gerhard Jung suffered minor injuries. Audine Jung died of her injuries.

Gerhard Jung was ticketed for failure to yield turning left.
