Bond Set for Hannibal Man Facing Drug Charges

A Hannibal man arrested following a suspicious report is formally charged.

A warrant issued in 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charges a Hannibal man with possession of a controlled substance following a suspicious vehicle report. Bond for Deforrest Sims was set at 50-thousand dollars. Sims was arrested following a suspicious vehicle report early Tuesday morning in the 2500 block of Broadway. Police arrived to find a man asleep in a vehicle while it was running and in gear. Further investigation resulted in Sims arrest for possession of methamphetamine… unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia… unlawful use of a weapon and driving while intoxicated.
