Bond Set for Hannibal Man Accused in Triple Shooting
Bond is set at 300-thousand dollars cash only for a Hannibal man accused in a shooting incident that left three people wounded.
Hannibal Police say three warrants have been issued against 19 year old Carl Emerson charging him with assault and armed criminal action. The charges follow a shooting incident early Monday morning in the 1000 block of Fulton Avenue. An 18 year old Hannibal female and a 17 year old Hannibal male were taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. A 19 year old Hannibal male was treated and released at Hannibal Regional Hospital for a gunshot wound to his arm. Police reports indicate the shootings occurred around 1 a-m after an argument broke out between the suspect and one of the shooting victims. Police say the female victim identified Emerson as her assailant. Carl Emerson is held in the Marion County Jail at Palmyra.
