Body of Missing Louisiana MO Man Found in Mississippi River

The body of a Louisiana, Missouri man who fell into the Mississippi River at Clarksville was found Saturday afternoon.

Pike County, Illinois Sheriff Paul Petty says 20 year old Dillan White was walking with two friends near the dam at Clarksville Friday afternoon when he and another man fell into the river and a third person went in after them.

Two of the three made it out safely. Search and rescue crews from Pike and Calhoun counties were called in about 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Officials say White’s body was found 200 yards south of the dam at 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

Calhoun County Coroner William Heffington says an investigation is ongoing and that an autopsy will be performed this week.
