Body Found in the Mississippi South of Hannibal

(ILASCO)—An autopsy is scheduled today on a body found in the Mississippi river south of Hannibal near the cement plant. Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says the body appears to have been in the water for some time. No identification has been made and no conclusions have been reached regarding the cause of death. Investigators with the Highway Patrol’s Water Patrol division are assisting.
