Body Found in Submerged Vehicle in Central Illinois Lake

Authorities say divers have found a body inside a submerged vehicle in a central Illinois lake.

Lt. Hadley Welsch of the McLean County Sheriff's Department says divers found the vehicle about 20 feet from the shore on the north side of Evergreen Lake.

Tom Clem of Downs told The Bloomington Pantagraph that he and a friend were fishing Tuesday morning when they noticed muddy tire tracks going into the lake. They told a Bloomington city employee collecting trash who then reported the incident.

McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage said the department had "no missing person's report and no reports of accidents."
