UPDATE: Blessing Hospital Lockdown Lifted

UPDATE: The lockdown has been lifted and the threat has been resolved.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Blessing Hospital's 11th Street campus is on lockdown according to a release posted on blessinghealth.org.

The Blessing Hospital Campus at 11th Street is currently on lockdown as a proactive approach in order to keep our patients, staff, volunteers and visitors safe after receipt of an external threat to a person at the 11th Street facility.

The release states that services are in operation and it is safe to access the facilities. However, anyone entering the building will be screened. The Quincy Police Department is actively looking for the person involved.
